Debut Like A Boss

on

After several false starts and many interruptions, ruthfull.com is finally up and running! I am so excited to have a home for all of my work, and grateful to have gotten so much support and aid in building the site. It’s still a work in progress, and will probably look different next time you visit (so check back often!), but I’m very proud of what has been achieved thus far!

The big push to get it done came from my up-coming art show. It’s my first time ever showing my work in this way, and I am excited and nervous about it! It is happening Sunday, March 16th and it’s part of a larger event: The First Ever LA Lyft Drivers Variety Show! It’s open to the public, and there’s a $5 cover per person. Proceeds from the show are going to Unify To Thrive, a non-profit that works with young adults with cancer. The entertainment line up is stocked with talented musicians and comedians and several artists will also be showing their work.

I’m showing 5 pieces from my Roller Coasters series, as well as selling my tins. Normally I sell the tins on my Etsy shop (seeing my Vending Machine page for more info and the link). For the show, though, I decided I needed a display box to properly show them off. I tried several versions and this is what I finally created:
